Netrio said the strategic acquisition marks another milestone in its journey to become the top managed service provider (MSP) focused exclusively on the IT needs of small and mid-market enterprises.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“The addition of Agio represents an important next step in our goal to transform how small and mid-market enterprises leverage technology and enable their businesses,” Netrio CEO Mark Clayman said in a statement. “Agio’s deep expertise in financial services and advanced cybersecurity capabilities complement our existing services. Together, we’ll deliver comprehensive solutions that drive innovation, efficiency, and growth for our customers, while reducing cost and risk.”

Netrio said the acquisition expands its expertise and resources in cybersecurity and the financial services industry, while also extending its presence in the Northeastern United States. Netrio also will be able to leverage AgioNow, the company’s proprietary Gen AI-powered IT delivery platform, which will enhance Netrio’s national customer support capabilities and end user experience.

Customers of both companies will benefit from an expanded portfolio of services, skill sets and resources, while employees will have access to new opportunities for skills development and career growth, Netrio said.

“From the start, our focus has been twofold… provide unparalleled protection to our customers as a managed IT and cybersecurity provider and develop a market-leading delivery platform leveraging AI to offer a unique end-user experience,” Agio CEO and founder Bart McDonough said in a statement. “Joining Netrio will allow us to continue that vision on an even larger scale.”

Piper Sandler was financial advisor for Agio.

With offices in Texas, New York, and Minnesota, Netrio supports more than 1,000 customers and maintains 250 employees across the U.S.
